INTERLAND

Now out from Smith Doorstop the Interland anthology of prose, poems, together with introductions, exchanges and photographs. You can buy your copy from Inpress or from Amazon. The anthology is the result of a two year collaboration as a writer with Ralf Andtbacka, Carita Nystrom and Marko Hautala from Ostrobothnia in Finland, and Kath McKay and Adam Strickson from Yorkshire, UK. We each wrote our own pieces, influenced by each other's work and each other’s countries, and have given readings in Ostrobothnia and Yorkshire.

A two year progressive writing programme for writers aged between sixteen and twenty with group workshops, one to one mentoring and a closed Squad website for sharing work and chat. We have just got the funding to work with our fourth cohort of writers while offering professional development and continuing one to one support to some of the writers we have been working with for the last six years. I set up the Squad in 2001 with Danny Broderick, and now act as Project Director and do one to one support of prose and script writers in the grad programme.

FOUNDLAND

An exchange and tour commissioned and delivered in 2001, Andy Campbell's site still looks good and is getting an ever increasing number of visitors. Foundland features new writing by Ashok Mathur and Hiromi Goto (Canada) and Jack Mapanje and Maya Chowdhry (UK) together with background, thinking and reflections on home and movement.
